  • try to envision something realistic that you want for yourself in life. create a plan on how to get there. be like the little engine that could and keep saying, "I think I can." If you are feeling particularly low, start with something very small like cleaning a room or organizing a closet.
  • live with anticipation that something great is going to happen today.
  • pay attention to small victories today.hope emerges and is sustained when we regularly discover evidence for it. draw attention to the small specific acts of hope that unfold today such as completing assignments, submitting job applications, or exercising for a few minutes.
Today I lived with that anticipation that good things were going to happen! Sometimes it's so easy to fall into a "woe is me" trap. But as long as we're choosing the right and doing the best we can, we can expect the best to come! Sometimes hope is the only thing that can get us through the day, but if we cultivate this habit of hope, then we will be happy!
