Today I am grateful for children's books. Being an El Ed major is wonderful, mostly because we just get to act like little kids sometimes. But really. We have a blast. At often it's so much fun that it doesn't even feel like school! So whenever I have to check out a picture book, I'm basically in heaven. Walking through those book shelves is a dream! I just wish I had all the time in the world to read them all! Yesterday, we did get to read them for a whole two hours during class and it was pure bliss. Good literature is one of my best friends. It's a way to learn, a way to experience the world in a new way, and of course is just entertainment :) Illustrations, good stories, laughter. There's nothing quite like it.
