First Week of Real School!

August 28, 2011
Let me begin by saying BYU is a completely different place fall semester...there are people EVERYWHERE! It's so crazy to think that I go to a school with 32,000 students. It has been fun catching up with friends from summer and getting re-acquainted with the campus. It's so beautiful here! We've spent a lot of time shopping for food, kitchen appliances, textbooks, and just all around preparing for the upcoming year. I absolutely love my apartment here in Wyview. Although it's extremely far away from campus, I think it will be a great experience. I'm in a room by myself and I'm surprisingly really excited about that ha! Here's what it looks like...

I enjoyed some of the festivities of NSO such as a dance, the introduction where I got my free planner :), a soccer game, and a volleyball game. It feels good to be back. It's still extremely hot and sunny but I'm definitely looking forward to fall! GO COUGS!

Back to Utah!!!

August 20, 2011
One week at home and I'm on my way back to good ol' Provo. I can't believe it's the start of a brand new school year! Time really flies by so fast. I'm really looking forward to all the good times ahead here at BYU but this week I get to hang out with my family :) So many adventures here in Sundance....rubber duck races, climbing the water fall, late night movies and games, fast food and popcorn, putt putt golfing, and moving in! I'm so glad they were able to come down and we could spend this last week together! Although we were missing one person we still had a blast. I love my family!

Sound of Music

August 3, 2011
My roommate is in a humanities class and she is required to go to musicals or museums or other arts events and i have the lucky chance to go with her! Our first week we were here we went to Singin in the Rain at the Scera Outdoor Theater in Orem. It was so much fun! I've never seen it before and didn't know the story but I really enjoyed it. And I even knew several of the songs! Then last weekend we went up to the Sundance Outdoor Theater and saw The Sound of Music! It was absolutely amazing and I loved every minute of it. They all have such talented voices and they did such a great job. The children were adorable and it made me miss being in Broadway Revue this summer so much! Especially because I got to be Leisl last year. That was such a great experience! It's such a well known and beloved story and I don't think I could ever get sick of it. Plus, the last time I was at that theater was when I was little and went to see Fiddler on the Roof so it was way fun to be back! These were great opportunities for me to enjoy my summer and my interests! The one thing I would change is I wish i could be with my family :( Only one week left!
