Stewart Falls

What better way to spend Memorial Day than with a hike? I'm pretty sure everyone else in Utah thought the exact same thing.

I can't remember the last time I hiked up to Stewart Falls but I absolutely loved every minute of it! It's a super easy hike that is just the right length. And definitely worth the view!

Utah is definitely showing off this time of year. I am so grateful that it's finally green!

There is just something about being up the canyon that is so refreshing.

No trip to Stewart Falls is complete without actually going in the waterfall...

 I think Aspen trees are the coolest! Especially in the fall when the leaves are gold and they shimmer in the wind!

jerusalem weddings

We had 7 Jerusalem friends get married within a week of each other and 6 of them were to each other! It took us a year and a half but we're finally getting around to it.

It was so fun to have little reunions 4 different times. We really do have such a special bond with each other that I'm pretty sure will last a lifetime.

First was Dan and Char. They were pretty good friends in Jerusalem, he pursued her when we got home, and eventually she warmed up to the idea and here they are!

Next was Jezz and JT! My FAVS.

One time we were in Jerusalem and I was roommates with this really cute girl named Jezzica. We spent lots of time getting to know each other and talking about boys. Obviously. It was only a couple weeks in when she became quite positive that she was going to have a future with a boy named JT. We weren't allowed to date and she didn't want to jinx anything so we kind of just kept it to ourselves. Now here they are MARRIED and I could not be more thrilled for them! They are adventurous and funny and let's be honest, so dang attractive. S grateful for these dear friends of mine!

The next weekend there was two in one night!

We didn't get a picture with Sarah and Brian but I think she is absolutely gorgeous! They make a great couple!

And last, but not least was Blake and Madeleine. They were pretty tight in Jerusalem so it was bound to happen at some point.

You can't read the sign but they had olive oil as favors because of how important it is in Jerusalem and how important Jerusalem is to them!

It was a fun couple weeks of partying!!! Yay for friends and yay for marriage!

lions and tigers and bears oh my!!

We had stuffed animal day at school and it was a blast!
We got to wear our PJs and bring animals to school.

We did lots of fun activities:
-read a teddy bear story
-graphed gummy bears by color
-watched Paddington
-shared how we got our stuffed animals and what their names are
-created our own animals out of dough and baked them and ate them!

I love these kiddos!

jazz game

Game 4 of the NBA West Playoffs.

Kind of a big deal.

The Jazz HAD to win in order to move on.

Of course they were playing the Warriors, arguably the best team in the league.

I've loved watching the Jazz all season and I didn't want to miss what could be their last game, but was also hoping that they could pull out with at least one win against the Warriors.

I was planning on getting super cheap tickets right before the game started and thought it was worth the risk to just drive up there. I found a friend that was willing to go with me and off we went!

I don't regret a minute of it! It was seriously so fun even though they couldn't get that W.

What a fun season Jazz!! I actually teared up a little at the end of the game when the crowd was chanting "Gordon Hayward" and the two teams were greeting each other. Can't wait for next season #takenote and so grateful for spontaneous friends who will go on crazy spur the moment adventures with me. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this one. And to the rest of the Blackner fam who insist on being Warriors fans...I'll admit, they're a great team to watch
