Class of 2017

April 29, 2017
I GRADUATED!!

Yay! 4 years of school and 1 year of an internship and now I'm done!

It feels great! Maybe it will seem more real when I get that diploma.

I have absolutely LOVED being a BYU student. What a huge blessing to attend such an incredible university and to get such a well-rounded education.

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
Minor in TESOL and Music

We dropped Kenzie off at the airport right before we went down for graduation. She was only here for 3 short days, but that was better than not seeing her at all! She is basically black and I want her life so that's cool.

Basically all my friends were graduating which was super fun! We all started and ended together! What an adventure. It's crazy to think about how we each took so many different paths to get there but ended up at the same place!

My favorite person Elder Holland was there. We didn't think any apostles were going to be there because a member of the seventy was speaking. But it was fun to be so close when they walked by. I mean Elder Holland and I are pretty tight since our days in Jerusalem...

It was so fun to have Grandma T there!

During commencement I was reminded of all the reasons why I was so grateful to attend this school and how it truly is like no other place on earth!

After we took some pictures and then went to a celebratory dinner!
We woke up the next morning to this:

Snow at the END of April. I mean, it's Utah so we can't be that surprised. But still. Not on GRADUATION DAY!

Emily ran down before her convocation to take a picture with me. I am so grateful for cute friends that I met here!

Best parents in the world! I seriously don't know what I would do without them!

Meanwhile in the Marriott...
they were showing pictures of us!

Miss Blackner has finally graduated!! Studying at BYU has been an absolute dream. From staying up all hours of the night freshman year to being a professional RA to spending countless hours in the HFAC and McKay to walking the streets of Jerusalem to teaching 21 little second graders, I have been truly blessed to develop my talents, serve others, and do the things that I love! I will forever cherish my time as a COUGAR 🎓💙🎉 #byugrad
