CHORAZIN

Recognize this bible story?? These are the moats and the beams that the Savior referred to when he spoke about judging others. That's one of the things I've loved the most about being here is really being able to contextualize with what the Savior taught by seeing the land and the artifacts that surrounded the area. It all just makes so much more sense!

SEPPHORIS
This city was the Roman capital of Galilee anciently and was also the place where members of the Sanhedrin gathers to complete the Mishnah. It is also possible that this is where Joseph and Jesus came to work.

There's something really fun and exciting about these ancient Roman cities. Below are games drawn in the road that children would've played!

The city was full of mosaic floors and this one is in the Nile House. You can see the Nile River towards the top and then lots of different animals!
This mosaic is known as "The Mona Lisa of Galilee"

AKKO

reason #1537829 we have the coolest teachers in the world: they sword fight for us
Akko was an important port in ancient times. The things you see today are from the Crusader period. It was the home of the Knights Templar (like the ones talked about in National Treasure)

Throughout the semester, we learned how necessary it is to find good bathrooms when we're out on fieldtrips. These ones take the cake.

We walked through this tunnel and ended up....

HERE!

There is something so refreshing about the sea. It really makes me happy to be near the water haha! I just looked out at it the whole time we were there, taking it all in.
