It has become a sort of tradition the last few years for my parents to come down for both conferences and I absolutely love it! April is always right around spring break and Bryan's birthday which is awesome and October is right around or on my birthday!
It is always so nice to take a weekend just to spend with family and of course hear all the uplifting messages from conference.
I fully believe in celebrating birthdays all month long and mine started a week before my birthday at DISNEYLAND. I proudly wore my happy birthday pin every. single. day. we were there and fully embraced all the kind words from cast members and visitors alike. Plus, the extra birthday treats at restaurants were the icing on the cake (literally).
My husband bought me my first ever DSLR camera and I AM IN LOVE! I still have so much to learn but I loved having it for this family vacation. It makes night and day difference with the quality of your photos! He's still trying to convince me that he's not trying to "top" each birthday because last year he started off with a pretty big birthday present, a ring. You can read all about that here.
Then, on my actual birthday we went out to dinner and I got spoiled by Bryan's family! And Kenzie got to come!! I was thrilled.
The rest of the weekend we got to play with the rest of my family. It was the best!

I feel like I've been hiding under a rock. I've heard about Nielsen's Custard so many times but never been up to try it! I thought it was fantastic! We had almond and cherry with the vanilla base and it was delicious!
